We believe that true academic excellence does not require choosing between rigorous standards and Biblical integrity. Instead, high academic standards and faith-filled instruction are blended throughout our curriculum.
GCS places a strong emphasis on core skills that prepare students for a lifetime of learning. From Pre-K through the elementary years, students engage in time-tested instructional methods that emphasize phonics, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and traditional handwriting, including cursive. To support these critical literacy goals, GCS relies on resources from Sadlier and Zaner-Bloser.
Bob Jones University Press (BJU Press) materials are implemented in the core subjects of English Language Arts, Mathematics, Reading, and History. BJU Press is known for challenging students to analyze, evaluate, and master complex concepts through a Biblical lens. GCS incorporates Purposeful Design Publications, a division of Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), for Science, Bible, and Spelling. All curriculum is intentionally selected to support academic achievement rooted in Scriptural truth.
GCS prioritizes physical workbooks, handwritten assignments, and interactive classroom lessons to foster cognitive development and fine motor skills. Technology is used selectively as a learning tool in relevant applications, such as research, keyboarding practice, group work, STEM activities, and typed assignments.

Our Pre-K program is designed to nurture our youngest learners in their exploration of the world God made. Focused on play-based activities, sensory learning, and social interaction, Pre-K introduces fundamental concepts while helping children build essential motor and social skills. In the small class setting, children gain the early confidence, classroom routines, and foundational habits that prepare them for successful transition into formal schooling.
The elementary grades of Kindergarten through 5th grade are structured for building core competencies sequentially across all subjects. Kindergarten begins establishing a foundation in phonics, early math concepts, Bible, and classroom structure, seamlessly integrating students into an ongoing elementary curriculum.
Throughout the elementary years, students build reading comprehension, handwriting and communication skills, mathematical problem-solving, and interactive social relationships. Multi-grade activities, hands-on projects, and guided classroom instruction ensure that elementary students build both cognitive depth and a lifelong joy for learning.
Middle school cultivates independence and personal responsibility in 6th through 8th grade students.
