Christian School in Bucks County
Grace Christian School is open to families living in Upper Bucks and Central Bucks County school districts who are exploring a private Pre-K through 8th grade education for their children. Located in Telford, near the Bucks/Montgomery County line, GCS is the Christian school of choice for many students coming from Bucks County.
Since 1982, we have been partnering with families to educate and equip their students spiritually and academically. Our emphasis for over 40 years has been to encourage students to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ while mastering the academic skills that will prepare them for their next chapter of education. Beginning in Pre-k and continuing through the elementary and middle school years, Grace Christian School seeks to cultivate character, critical thinking, spiritual maturity, and a joy for learning.
Christ-Centered Mission and Vision for Students in Bucks County
When exploring Christian schools in the Bucks and Montgomery County region, parents must carefully consider the mission and vision of each school. These principles guide the curriculum, culture, and structure of the school. It is essential to understand how the school’s values align with a family’s own convictions.
Our Mission is to encourage students to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, providing an affordable, Christ-centered quality education; challenging students academically and spiritually to be used by Him.
We have the Vision of seeking to serve Christ by preparing children, through a foundation of faith and academic excellence, to live God-honoring lives. We encourage families to review and evaluate our mission, Vision, and Statement of Faith as they determine the best school for their child’s education.
“GCS is such a special place. I feel so blessed that our kids can come here and get a Christian education. I know that the teachers love them and care about their education, but also that they care about their spiritual welfare and character. Above all, I want them to be kids who honor God with their lives and grow in their relationship with Jesus, and that is built right into the mission of GCS.”

Bible-Based Curriculum with Strong Academic Expectations
Parents who invest in a Christian education for their children expect a comprehensive approach to academics. The Grace Christian School curriculum is thoughtfully chosen to promote core subject mastery centered within a Biblical worldview. God’s truth is seamlessly integrated through language arts, history, science, and math so that students gain a clear understanding of His design. We maintain the use of workbooks with handwritten classwork, homework, and tests to continually build cognitive and motor skills. Technology is selectively integrated when relevant for instructional purposes. Parents should expect schoolwork to come home on a regular basis for review, and they are encouraged to track grades and communicate with teachers through our learning management system.
Bob Jones University Press texts form our standard curriculum in English Language Arts (ELA), Math, Reading, and History. BJU Press materials have a longstanding reputation for academic rigor and are designed to engage students as active participants in their learning. Critical thinking and analysis skills, grounded in Biblical principles, are central to the entire catalog of resources.
Purposeful Design Publications, a division of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), produces Christ-centered instructional materials that we use for Bible, Science, and Spelling subjects. These resources are known for their intentional purpose to draw students to the Lord. The curriculum is academically challenging, visually engaging, and appropriate for real-world application.
Sadlier and Zaner Bloser materials are essential to literacy and writing proficiency. Applied in Phonics, Vocabulary, and Handwriting (including cursive), these resources support reading comprehension, study skills, and language fluency. GCS prioritizes verbal and written communication aptitude at every developmental level.
Enriching weekly classes reinforce character development while also inviting students to engage in various forms of creative expression:
Art nurtures imagination, fine-tunes motor skills, and provides a channel for applying personalization while exposing students to diverse artistic styles and techniques.
Physical Education promotes a lifestyle of wellness, strength, and coordination through active play and cooperative teamwork.
Music cultivates an ear for rhythm and active listening, deepens appreciation for various genres, and is integral to our Christmas and Spring Programs.
Library time sparks a lifelong passion for reading, supports research skills being developed in the classroom, and opens the door to a variety of literature and writing styles.
Chapel unites our students in corporate worship and Scriptural study, helping students learn valuable life application concepts from the Word. Chapel meets weekly, and parents are welcome to attend, particularly when their child’s class is scheduled to present. Our program features guest speakers, such as pastors from Penn Valley Church and other nearby churches, missionaries, teachers, and ministry leaders.
The Specials classes complement classroom instruction to strengthen cognitive and motor skills in varying environments. As part of a comprehensive education, they expand the overall student experience to celebrate unique gifts, explore new interests, and recognize God’s hand in all areas of life.
Quality Instruction for Students in Pre-K, Elementary, and Middle School Grades
Our Christ-centered environment begins in Pre-K and continues through every elementary and middle school year for our students. Our approach is to instruct students at developmentally appropriate levels in order to inspire their love of learning while stretching them to master new skills and concepts.
Pre-K focuses on play-based activities, social interaction, and early academic exploration to help our youngest learners engage their senses and thinking skills with the world around them.
Elementary grades apply structured schedules and curriculum to sequentially build on subject mastery. Additionally, K-5th grade students engage in multi-grade activities and hands-on learning opportunities to continue refining their motor and social skills.
Throughout the elementary years, students build reading comprehension, handwriting and communication skills, mathematical problem-solving, and interactive social relationships. Multi-grade activities, hands-on projects, and guided classroom instruction ensure that elementary students build both cognitive depth and a lifelong joy for learning.
Middle School students are expected to take active responsibility in their learning, time management, and study habits in order to foster independence and intrinsic motivations. In 6th-8th grades, GCS students will be challenged with complex concepts that strengthen their communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Our goal is to continually prepare students for the next grade academically while ensuring they are able to communicate effectively, think critically, read and write with comprehension, work independently, and persevere in all they do. Most importantly, it is our desire that students profess a personal acceptance of and faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and that they are instilled with a desire to live for and serve Him in the ways they have been gifted.
“GCS students are a cut above. All of our staff know that the GCS students are exceptional; we never have to worry about them being behind or unprepared. They stand out from all other transfer students. Whatever you are doing, keep doing it!”
