As part of their lesson on genetic traits, the 5th/6th-grade class created "genetic puppies". Character traits for the puppies were determined by the rolling of dice. The students then made a drawing of their puppies on paper and then on their Chromebooks using SketchPad. A great STEAM activity combining art with science and technology.
Mrs. Miller came to teach the first graders about the Chinese New Year this afternoon. We had a great time learning about the holiday, making Chinese lanterns, using chopsticks, and having a special Chinese dragon snack. Thanks, Mrs. Miller!
If you're in search of a new K-6 school for your child - or if you know someone who is - then Welcome Wednesdays are for you!
Each Wednesday in February & March we will open our doors from 9-11am for visitors to experience a bit of life at GCS, including weekly chapel, class time, snack time, and recess. It's the perfect way to get to know us better and see if attending GCS would be a good fit for your child.
Refreshments are served and no RSVP is needed. Hope to see you soon!
